A good yoga practice doesn’t have to be all about Vinyasas, Chaturangas, and Warrior poses. A good yoga practice is simply giving the body and mind what it needs at any given moment.
As I am currently dealing with a lower body injury, this flow sequence is a good example of how my personal practice has been lately.
This flow contains mostly floor poses, which help to cool down the body and mind after vigorous yoga practices. And, as we head into the hot summer months, this practice can be used to cool down after a hot summer day, or any long day, for that matter.
Class Description:
Refresh the body and mind with this short, but very sweet, slow moving sequence to open the hips, hamstrings, and chest. Begin with floor yoga poses to open hips and thighs, then move into some gentle twists and backbends to open the chest and spine. Feel free to use this class anytime you feel the need to move slowly, even if that’s all the time.
Best for:
- Post travel
- Post run
- Stress relief
- Prolonged sitting
- Gentle practices

This is a lovely sequence. I do something similar after each workout session and my clients have learned it too. It’s very simple and yet so effective to improve flexibility. 🙂
