Are you ready for a little challenge? Because that’s just one of the things you’ll get from this 30-minute power-ish, Vinyasa Flow class designed to power-up your practice, help you build balance, and lots of focus.
If you’ve taken classes with me before then you know by now that my classes aren’t complete without breathwork, and that’s exactly how we start this class.
We begin with breath awareness which helps you shift your attention inwards. This practice is also known as Pratyahara and it’s a key step before you move into deeper focus.
Then, we start the standing sequence with power lunges and Vinyasas (something I like to call power Sun Salutations), followed by standing hip-openers (Warrior poses and Half Moon Pose), and finished balancing poses like lunges and warrior 3.
Of course, we end with twists, reclined hip openers, and juicy resting poses.
As I mentioned, there is lots of balancing and tricky transitions so this class may be more suitable for intermediate practitioners.
If you’re still working on your balance, try practicing near a wall as it will help you feel safe during practice.
A block will also be useful.
