Morning Yoga to Build Heat

30-MINUTE Morning Yoga Class to Build Heat - Argentina Rosado Yoga

Cold weather is here!!!

You know, that sweet time of the year when it’s still dark and cold outside when you wake up…

…But, still warm and cozy inside.

You’re wrapped up in your warm blanket and you reaaaaally take your time to get up and running.

Or, is that just me?

You see, some of us have a tendency to be more sluggish than others, or as they say, some of us are *slow starters* by nature.

Things like stagnation, slow digestion, heaviness, difficulty breathing, congestion, and even depression are usually aggravated around winter time.

In the Ayurvedic world, this is called a Kapha imbalance.

Some daily practices can help balance Kapha.

Like, getting up earlier, moving your body, avoiding heavy meals (things that make you crawl into bed after you eat), and heat-building practices like hot yoga, Vinyasa, and breathwork

So, today’s free on-demand class is all about balancing stagnation and sluggishness.

It’s a 30-minute morning class designed to build heat through breath and movement. Perfect for the slow starters (lol).

As always, the class begins with breath awareness to help you tune in. Then, we start the warm-up process with gentle moving twists and your good ol’ Cat Cow Vinyasa.

Then, get ready to move, because after a couple of Sun Salutations, we go into one-breath-one-movement tempo followed by longer-held poses before cooling down and Savasana.

You’ll need:

Blanket for padding (optional)
