Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie Recipe

Vegan peanut butter banana smoothie recipe

You know, I’ve never been a fan of peanut butter. I mean, I eat raw peanuts put never in the shape of butter, or anything peanut butter flavored actually. That is, until one day I was rushing to a meeting around lunch time and I had nothing to eat at home. I was hungry so I started digging through my kitchen to see what I could put together.

I had some bananas that had been ripping so I could make pancakes, some milk and some peanut butter that I use to treat my dog. I mixed it all together and what do you know? I loved it! I felt like I was drinking some kind of milkshake from the ice cream shop. Not only that, but it was super filling.

So, I fined tuned the recipe a bit and now it is one of my favorites. I still don’t eat peanut butter flavor things like cookies, etc. (weird I know). But this? Oh so good.

Ingredients
  • 2 frozen medium ripe bananas
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 2 medjool dates
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth (about two minutes).

1 serving.
